New PROject

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026

New PROject ("the app," listed on the App Store as "New Project Pro") is a macOS utility that creates project folder structures on your Mac. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it.

In one sentence: New PROject does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your personal data. Everything the app needs to work stays on your Mac.

Data We Collect

None. New PROject has no servers, no user accounts, and no backend of any kind. There is nothing for the developer to collect, because nothing you do in the app is ever transmitted to us.

Specifically:

None of the above is transmitted to any server operated by us, because we don't operate any. If you delete the app, this local data can be removed along with it.

Third-Party Integration (Toggl Track)

New PROject offers an optional integration with Toggl Track, a third-party time-tracking service, to autocomplete project names from your Toggl workspace. This integration is off by default and only activates if you turn it on.

Here is exactly how it works:

  1. You decide to connect. Nothing happens with Toggl until you go to Settings and choose to enable the integration.
  2. You provide your own API token. You generate a personal API token from your own Toggl Track account and paste it into New PROject. The app never asks for your Toggl username or password.
  3. Your token is stored locally, on your device only. The token is saved in the macOS Keychain with the kSecAttrAccessibleWhenUnlockedThisDeviceOnly protection level, meaning it is encrypted, tied to this specific Mac, and never syncs to iCloud Keychain or any other device.
  4. The app talks directly to Toggl — not to us. When the integration is enabled, your Mac makes network requests directly to api.track.toggl.com to fetch your workspaces and project names. There is no server operated by New PROject in the middle of this connection.
  5. We never see your token or your Toggl data. Your API token, your Toggl workspaces, and your Toggl project names pass only between your Mac and Toggl's own servers. The developer of New PROject has no access to any of it.

You can disconnect at any time from Settings, which removes the token from your Keychain. Because your data is handled directly by Toggl, please refer to Toggl's own Privacy Policy for how they handle data on their end — we do not control and cannot speak to their practices.

Analytics and Tracking

New PROject does not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or any third-party SDKs. The app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, so no App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt is shown — there is nothing to ask permission for.

Children's Privacy

New PROject is a general-purpose productivity utility not directed at children and is not designed to appeal to children. Since the app does not collect any personal data from any user, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children either.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because New PROject does not collect or store any data on servers we operate, there is no remote data for us to retain or delete on your behalf. Your data lives entirely under your own control:

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a new feature that touches user data — we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document and note the change in that version's App Store release notes.
